HI
I want to do historical review for a point from 2011 up to now. my question is it possible to make the interval for this review daily or monthly not hourly?
I believe this is possible, and I think it is outlined in the Operator Station User Guide. I will try to get you a specific answer to your question. What version of Ovation are you using?

Hi Majed,
I think these steps will help you:
Historical Review returns actual samples, not periodic or aggregated values.
The proper tool to use is the Ovation Process Historian (OPH) Report Manager following these steps:
1. Ensure that the library of Report Formats includes an ExpressCalc Report Format (e.g. “ExpressCalc 8 point.rpt”).
2. Create a new Report Definition using the above Report Format.
3. Add the desired point to the Report Definition’s Report Properties, choosing a Processing Type (e.g. average, actual value, etc.). Specify a Sample Interval of 1 Day or 1 Month. Set a valid default Time Period (this will be adjusted when requesting the report generation). If desired enter Headers 1 and 2. Click OK to save the changes.
4. Select the Report Definition and right-click to choose the “Generate Report” option.
5. In the Generate pop up window specify the start and end dates and times. Have the Report Destination set to “Window” for now. Click OK to have the report executed.
This will produce a report window containing the point’s periodic values as specified above. This report can be printed or saved to a file from this window. To have the report go directly to a printer or file upon generation, specify this in step 3 above. To have the report automatically generated on a periodic basis, create a Timed Event linked to this report.

I am not an expert on the virtual controller. Can you clarify what type of help you require? I can try to put you into contact with a person better suited to answer your question.
Do you have the Virtual Controller User Manual? If not, the manual can be accessed on the Ovation Users' Group website.
Configuration help might be better attempted via direct communications. Feel free to contact me and the team directly at ovation-wdpf@emersonprocess.com and we will get some experts to go through your difficulties step-by-step.
