Internal PID calculated output

Is there a way to monitor the internal PID calculated output for a controller?

In Honeywell, there was a CV parameter (Calculated Variable). It would be useful for our APC application if we can monitor this via OPC.

  Clarify, you are wanting the PID output which is simply out or are you looking for the error?

  I've investigated the "CV" parameter in Honeywell and have totally confirmed what it would be for a PID. Is it the PID accumulated "internal out", before OUT limits, which can exceed OUT limits due to P and D action after the "external out" becomes limited. Please clarify this also.
