SPLTR block requiring control level of regulatory or batch

I'm trying to download a test module to a Pro+. The module contains a SPLTR block. When attempting the download, I get an error message stating that says "One or more modules assigned to the workstation has a control level of regulatory or batch." Any idea what is wrong here? If I remove the SPLTR, the module downloads correctly.

  • Because I´ve never used the SPLTR function block before, I did the same "test" on our system as discribed above. Therefore, at least, I can confirm the download-behavior and the failure message.

Our system is licensed also for batch applications and the download to a CTRL works quite well, so I guess that the proplus can´t handle the function block. Maybe a simulate station could?

  • If you search in Books Online for "pid application station", there will be an article in the search results called "Assigning modules to a workstation". This lists the blocks that are supposed to be allowed on a Pro+ or Application station. If you are on version 13.3.1 or earlier, the SPLTR is not allowed per the list. If you are on version 14.3 or later, the list was updated to include the splitter, however that is a mistake. KBA NK-2000-0453 which should be accessible from Guardian will document the mistake and correct that BG, MANLD, SPLTR, and EDC are not supposed to be in the list of allowed function blocks for a workstation.
