Analog out module on simulate computer

AO output goes to zero irrespective of the mode during the download on the simulate machine when the IO_OUT is assigned to a device tag. If I remove the device tag AO output doesn't change. What could be the reason for different behavior with and without device tag name?

    Could be something to do with the fact that AO/OUT is one of the critical function block parameters that would be preserved during a download of the module in a real controller.
