does anybody know how changes should i make in a motor control module if it has just one signal for stop, i mean motor just can be started from field.

  • Assuming you have a running feedback from the motor to the DCS, you can do the following:
    Change the named set for the motor SP to STOP and RELEASE. Also increase CFM_ACT1_TIME to 300sec. That way the CCR operator can release the motor for start in the field from the HMI. The field operator has than 300 sec to start the motor, if the motor does not get started in that time, you get a fail alarm which is a good thing to remind the CCR operator. Obviously, you can change the confirm time to any time which is practical at your site.
    Interlocks and Permissives can be implemented as normal practice.
