Using multi-item select with a named set parameter

I'm trying to use "multi-item select" for my operator to be able to choose what he wants an SFC to do.  I'm using a Named Set Parameter "SP", names Idle = 0, Start-up = 1, Shutdown =2.  When I try to use the data entry expert/multi-item select I can't get it to work properly.  If I use the parameter "DVSYS.SEQ-5601/SP.F_CV", everything works, but the selector shows the values, not the names.  If I change the parameter "DVSYS.SEQ-5601/SP.A_CV", the names are displayed properly in the Data entry expert, but when I select one, I get a "Bad value - Conversion Error".

I have tried every combination I can think of and can't get this to work.  Any help would be greatly appreciated -- Thanks!

  It seems you did not download the (changed) setup data to the controller.
