Friendly Unit Name

Our units are named with the equipment ID from  the P&ID. (MT54897 etc). Operations are requesting that they appear on the batch as Line2Tank4 etc. Has anyone used or know how to use friendly names on BOI. Alternate would be to rename the units but that is a validation headache.
