How can DeltaV handle the counter module FM 350-2 (8-channel) 6ES7350-2AH01-0AE0 for ET200M?

Dear Exchange Users,

I have a Siemens ET200M communication module connected to DeltaV Profibus.

I have the GSD file for the device, however it does not contain the counter module FM 350-2 (8-channel) 6ES7350-2AH01-0AE0.

Do anybody know how can DeltaV communicate with this signal module?

    I'd suggest contacting Siemens support to obtain the proper GSD file that includes a definition for this slot configuration. I do see similar questions on other discussion boards, going back to 2008, dealing with the FM 350-2 not being included in the standard GSD files from Siemens, so it may be that they do not expose this module over Profibus. If that's the case, you may need to use Step 7 to configure the counter to pass the value to an output register that can be monitored over Profibus.

    Ray,

    I have contacted Siemens and I was told that there is no GSD file for this module.
    We will also replace the Siemens controllers.
    I think the solution will be the usage of a DeltaV DI Card as a pulse input.
