A DeltaV 8.4 system works on the plant. Now we make a new cabinet with a controller. How to test the input-output, without the USB key to the system? We have a simulated key. But it does not permit the download to the controller. I heard about the program Autocon, but I can not find the information.
You need a licensed dongle to download to a controller. If you have a working DeltaV system, then you probably have a licensed dongle on the ProPlus already.
If this is the first controller, and you've been using simulate only, then you would need to purchase the full system. They do have an option for small plants (I think up to 100 DSTs) that are reasonably priced. Look for "PlantWeb Experience" on Emerson's site.
