Error window popup

Hi All,

I have a digital alarm point on a graphic that when i open the screen up we get the following window appear:-

Error Number: 1073479673 (C0040007)

DVSYS.PAL430715/ALARM[1]. The item definition does  not exist within the server address space.

Is this something in the dynamo that doesn't have a parameter assigned to it or is it something else?

  • This is a real error as the correct path should be DVSYS.PAL430715/ALARMS[1] with some valid field (i.e. .CUALM, .NALM, etc).

Search your graphic for this reference to find it but if this is built when the picture opens you will need to evaluate the scripting to address this issue.

Matt i got to the bottom of the issue, the operator station is a quad unit and they hadn't updated the main pictures so still had old modules on it (which have since been removed from the system) when they opened two of the same pictures, the problem i am experiencing now is when i try to update them main pictures I get an error window saying "error no 70 (46) permission denied" and this is stopping me updating all of the screen, do you have any idea as to what is causing this error?

Try disconnecting all remote clients connected to the Terminal Server if this is were you are getting the error. Delete all Picture files inside D:\DeltaV\DVData\Graphics-iFix\PIC\Temp\Faceplate and then try again. If this doesn't work suggest logging a call with Global Service Center (GSC).
