DeltaV Simulate Conversion

I am working on a DeltaV v12.3.1 project which has been copied across from a live plant. The project has been restored on a VM for development and testing purposes.

The VM is acting as the Pro Plus workstation for this development environment, and we have recently installed Simulate Pro on the VM. We can re-assign control modules from controllers to the workstation, download them, and go online to the modules (albeit Fieldbus shadow blocks cannot be downloaded). We can also enable and disable simulation of selected blocks from the Simulate Pro interface. So all of this so far is working well.

However, I cannot work out how to use the Simulate Conversion Function. To access the function, I right click on the workstation in DeltaV Explorer and select Simulate Conversion from the context menu as per Books Online. According to Books Online (for blocks with external IO references):

When the Simulate Conversion command is run, a module named M_nodename is automatically created under the workstation's Assigned Modules container. M_nodename is populated with parameters that are referenced by the converted modules' parameter and function block expressions' I/O references.

For modules with Fieldbus blocks, I believe the Simulate Conversion function also converts these FF blocks to standard IO function blocks within the modules themselves, and I should be able to open the module and see the converted blocks.

However, nothing seems to happen when I click on Simulate Conversion. There is no dialog box or confirmation of any sort. When I open modules assigned to the Pro Plus workstation, the Fieldbus blocks have not been converted. There is no module created called M_nodename.

I am obviously missing a step or two, or some pre-requisite that I have overlooked. Can someone please provide guidance?
