As noted in their recent article, Burns & McDonnell selected Ovation automation technology for the monitoring and control of three 10-MW/20-MWh lithium-ion battery energy storage systems (BESS) in West Texas.
The Ovation software will enhance BESS reliability and grid resiliency by increasing the visibility into the battery operations. It also provides proven asset performance management strategies to increase system availability. Lastly, the system offers the flexibility to optimize and modify the controls after commissioning.
