Based on your description you most probably have a Gateway that is not DeltaV Ready. When enabled, this function allows the gateway to communicate with DeltaV directly and show up in the decommissioned nodes list once first connected to the DeltaV system. Please check if the DeltaV Ready option is available within the firmware options section (using the web interface), and if the option is not available please reach out to our Wireless Specialists to get more information on how to get the option files to enable DeltaV Ready on your Gateway (RMT-NA.SpecialistWireless@emerson.com).

It is also important to note that this will change how the Gateway integrates with AMS Device Manager. It should appear under the DeltaV Network when you rebuild/identify, but you need to manually remove it from the Wireless Interface.
