I had asked a question a few days before regarding pulling data from DeltaV Batch, but didn't get a response from this very active and helpful community.  

I felt that I need to offer more context on what my team is trying to do, and please correct me if my assumption is wrong or I am misguided.

We offer MES integration services and it is the first time we are working with DeltaV, let alone a DCS.

1. Our team is trying to pull data from DeltaV Batch. 

2. We learned that DeltaV offers web services for batch production integration with external application such as MES.

3. Our testers onsite notified us that the available authentication for DeltaV Batch web services. 

* Frankly, I am not so sure what this means, so if one would kindly elaborate, it would be very helpful.

Anyway, our testers went ahead and tried the "basic authentication", encoding username and password in base64 in the HTTP request header, which did not work.

4. Is there any other means of authentication to pull data from DeltaV Batch?

I am just enumerating off what I know about web services - there could be OAuth 2.0, through not entirely sure how that would fit in with DeltaV product stack...

Your response, request for clarification would very much be appreciated.
