I'm trying to get data (levels, temperatures) from 2460 system hub to FUEL-FACS+. I use port 7 in 2460 system hub for this, configured to emulate 2160 FCU. Unfortunately FUEL-FACS+ does not support data presentation in 2460 system hub. The communication is successful, but it is limited to 32 tanks, despite the fact that we have 34 of them. How is possible to get missing data from remaining two tanks?
Hi alekseib . We consulted with our expert on this; and this is the response:
You are running the 2460 in a mode where it is emulating the behaviour of the older 2160 FCU. This older unit only supported 32 tanks, so the modbus mapping for a 2160 only supports maximum 32 tanks.
This information can be found here https://www.emerson.com/documents/automation/product-data-sheet-rosemount-2460-system-hub-en-104538.pdf
"Rosemount 2160/2165 emulation Host protocol, supporting the Rosemount 2160/2165 Field Communication Unit input register mapping. Enables the replacement of Rosemount 2160/2165 without re-programming the host. The maximum number of tanks is reduced to 32 when using 2160 emulation."
The recommendation is to see if the standard 2460 mapping could be used instead or maybe using a user defined mapping.
