Hello,
I am using and FDM density meter along with a Magmeter to do Massflow Calculations for slurry fluid, output of the flowmeter will be connected to the density meter for calculations, then the output of the FDM Density output will be sent wirelessly via Thum Adapter to a gateway.
I have a problem with wiring and configuration, our FDM has 3 output Channels, A which is 4-20mA with HART, B which is 4-20 mA and C which is MODBUS, I am unable to find out where to connect the wireless Adapter and where to connect to magnetoc flowmeter output on the density meter.
can anyone help me please?
Hello Salehatiyyat,
Thank you for the question! This is a great application. The Magnetic flowmeter, the FDM, and the THUM can all work together. The FDM and Magmeter should be in parallel on the HART loop using the single HART terminal in the FDM. The following link can be used to access a wiring schematic (note that this will expire in 7 days): https://emerson.sendthisfile.com/F0vuv19knSepfsAwKbubw4NI
A few of points to note:
If the FDM powers off, Poll AS Primary may go to do not poll. This will be fixed in the next firmware release.
The THUM should point to the Hart ADDRESS of the FDM
You should be able to see all 3 devices when using a HART hand held device
If you need additional assistance, please contact Flow.Support@emerson.com or your local Emerson service representative.
Kind Regards,
Hans
