There are many flow measurement technologies from which to choose. We discussed the advantages of Coriolis flow and density measurement technology in many applications in earlier posts.
A short 3:23 YouTube video, 4200 2-Wire Coriolis Transmitter shares how this 2-wire transmitter innovation allows easier replacement of existing flow measurement technologies without the need to run separate power cables.
Less wiring means saving on cabling and wire termination costs, as well as the associated design & engineering costs. The 4200 transmitter is completely configurable with the local display at the transmitter without the need for a hand-held configurator or additional software.
Other capabilities include local and remote mount options for the transmitter, a display which can be rotated depending on how the Coriolis meter is mounted, and the ability to perform smart meter verification, which uses meter diagnostics to verify flow meter performance in-line without interrupting flow measurements.
A Smart Wireless THUM adapter can be added to the transmitter to transmit the diagnostic information across the WirelessHART network to enable remote monitoring and manage the health of these devices. The transmitter also holds a week’s worth of historical data timestamped to its real-time clock.
Running the zero verification method simplifies the process of confirming the meter zero integrity and alert if re-zeroing is required.
