Ex pneumatic actuators II 2G Ex h IIB T4 Gb

For Ex (ATEX) pneumatic actuators (non electrical devices) there is a "new" type of protection - h, Ex  II 2G Ex h IIB T4 Gb.
Is this some news?
Can you please provide more information about this?

    within the ATEX directive, the designation ‘h’ for non-electrical devices has existed since around 2016. Manufacturers had some transition time available (until October 2019) to issue/update their Declarations of Conformity. The Protection Principle "EX h" makes reference to "mechanical equipment".
