Graphics Safety Overview Standards

Hey, I wanted to start a discussion on Standards for a safety overview. Our current Overview is atrocious (attached below Figure 1&2) and I wanted to do a clean up and bring our standards to the present day. I love the grey scale format so i decided to go that way. I have lots of advice from ops and engineering on how to make these pages but i have not had advice from a professional. Below are the Types of devices i need to display and categorize

  • H2S Sensors
  • LEL Sensors
  • Fire Eyes
  • Safety Showers
  • Horns
  • Beacons
  • H2S, LEL, and Fire Eye Bypass Switches
  • Test Switches for Horns and Beacons

So Far i have an overview page that shows a birds eye view (2D Map Figure 3) of the WL1 area with minimal Text on the page. I was planning on Doing 3 separate pages. One that shows an overview of the LEL, H2S, and Fire eyes. Another one that shows all safety Devices (Safety Showers, Horns, Beacons) and the last one will show all bypass and test switches. Attached Below is my progress so far...

Figure 1: OLD PAGE#1

Figure 2: OLD PAGE#2

Figure 3: New page so far (Need advice Shades of Silver theme)

This one will be Fire and Gas overview... Only displaying H2S, LEL, and Fire Sensors

Looking for knowledge or articles!

Thanks,
