quick edit graphics

Newbie here...I opened up DeltaV Operate (Run).  I selected the overview graphic and right clicked. I chose quick edit.  I edited the color of a couple of rectangle objects saved and closed.  I then hit running man to see my work.

No changes were there.  I right clicked and went to quick edit. all my changes were there.  I went to yellow pages and deleted the graphic I worked on from there.  I then reopened operate (run) my changes were still not visible.  right clicked to quick edit and all my changes are visible.  closed and went to running man ... no changes..........

Is this the definition of insane?????

  • The objects you are changing the color on have a color animation which is overriding you default configuration.

You need to change the color of the animations and this might be tied to a threshold table which means you will have to change that table. Keep in mind that changing a threshold table color may change colors of other items that you may or may not want to do.

    where is this threshold table?

Sorry. found out that it was an animation. have to pick the dynamo from the list on the left and then the rectangle in the dynamo and then you can see that the color animation is checked. if you click on the dynamo in the picture this animation check box is not checked. Very frustrating...

On your animation you will see an Advanced tab when the Data Conversion is Table. The other buttons will NOT be available meaning that it is connected to a Threshold (see example below)

When you click this you will an interface where you can see/define what Threshold is being used (see example below)

Threshold are located under the Globals object (see example below)
