Parameter Lock

How can we restrict the operator to enter parameter Hi and Lo limit using Lock

  From DeltaV Explorer, go to System Configuration > Setup > Security, then double-click Parameter Security in the right pane. You can then set a Lock for HI_LIM and LO_LIM (if they're not there, you can add them from the Parameter Security window). I think the default is Tuning - you could change that to Restricted Control.

  One additional evaluation that must be made is whether those parameter names are being used in another module class in a a capacity which the operator should have access. Search for the parameter name in deltav explorer and you may find it in another module class that may require different access. If this is the case, then you may need to create a uniquely named internal reference parameter in one of the classes, change the faceplate to use these new parameters, then define the new parameter in security model.
