Alarm Description

I am working on getting more operator ownership of the alarm descriptions.  Right now I have them working with a spreadsheet that I will bulk edit in.  Due to variations in comfort with Excel, I'd prefer to get to something that they can do on line.  I've looked for the parameter in the alarms for the descriptions but I could not find it.  Is this a parameter that can be written to?  If it can be written to, will it need to be downloaded to take effect?  Since the alarm descriptions are there for the operators benefit, I'd like them to easily be able to modify them to something that makes sense, even if I have to do a download later.  Is this doable?

  Alarm Description is configured on the Advanced tab for each alarm, it can't be changed online and yes there is a downloaded once these are changed in the configuration but I believe it will only be the workstation that needs to be done (I just tested v14 so it may be different in prior revisions).

  That was what I was afraid of.  It looks like bulk edit will be our best route.
