Chart Builder

Hi,

We have DeltaV ver: 12.3.1 and we would like to start using Chart Builder.

If you open Chart Builder and mouseclick on some value (dynamo or faceplate) you select it and get it on the chart.

This works on some sandard faceplates and dynamos but not the homemade .fp and dynamos.

On the dynamo value you have open faceplate expert.

If you want chart builder do you need to make another selecteble target, that bring the value to the chart?

Can you make open faceplate with left mouseclick and chartbuilder with right mouseclick?

  I recently had a play with Chart Builder and believe that basically you need to have the following for it to work:
  
  1. An object that is selectable ie has Enable Select checked on the General tab of the animations dialogue.
  2. An animation for this object whose source is the point that you want adding to the chart.
  
  In more detail:
  
  1. Make sure there aren't two overalapping selectable objects.
  2. If the object has more than one animation, chart builder selects the first. If this is not a simple DVSYS. type source then it will not look any further.
  3. DVSYS. is stripped from the source and .F_CV is replaced by .CV before it is added to the chart builder list.
  
  Not sure what you mean about opening faceplates. This only requires Enable Highlight to be selected on an object and an On Click script.
