Hopefully this image comes through, we achieved this by setting the suppression time out to zero, and adding a suppression enable check box on the detail display. The check box is displayed "unchecked" if the SUPTMO is zero and "checked" if not zero.
When checked, we set the SUPTMO to our default setting, and when "unchecked" the SUPTMO is set to zero. Thie suppression enable is only allowed by our supervisors via the parameter security being adjusted to allow them to change SUPTMO.
To set this all up, it was easy to use the SAM export to filter for the alarm priorities we wanted to target, then use the real-time excel addin to make the necessary initial SUPTMO settings to 0. Then to upload the changes back to the database.
