SD SX Controller Software Version Compatibility

Hi All,

I wonder if any one can assist with a query I have regarding the software compatibility of DeltaV SD & SX Controllers..

I know these controllers were developed for Software Version 11, but does anyone know if they can be used with earlier version?

  S-Series Controllers require Version 11.3.1 or later. So no these controllers don't work on earlier versions. The Release Notes available to Guardian Users via KBA (Knowledge Base Articles) document this information. Hope this helps.

  Fair question. MQ controllers were introduced in v12 but can be used in v11 after installing the appropriate hotfixes. I've been told that the electronics in S and M controllers are almost identical, so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible with the right hotfixes. But unlikely with version 13 release pending.
