Hi all,
I am looking for protocol converter from SNP GE Fanuc 90-30 ( info from schema - not sure whether it is right description ) to ModBus RTU ( DeltaV serial card ).
I have already found any gateway from Molex, but I have a problem with their technical support to confirm me this information.
I would like to ask you for help - have you used any similar converter / gateway in the past ( I assume any tested one )?
Thanks a lot for help.
Radek
Radomir,
GE makes a module for the 9030 that allows it to talk Modbus TCP/IP, www.mynah.com/.../ge-9030-plc-modbus-tcpip-integration. You could use this and the Schneider TSX Ethernet/Serial Modbus bridge or bring it in direct to the VIM.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mart

Mart,
Thanks a lot. I was thinking about checking your website for solution, but at the end I decided to leave it ( no results in google in the front - the same for GE, but maybe it is only because of playing with searching:-) ). It seems there will be always better to check your solution first:-).

I wanted to pass along this tweet from Bart Schaminee:
@EmersonExchange you can try Horner or use a small RX3i of GE Fanuc as gateway.

I would like to summarize possibilities for integration only:
Modbus TCP/IP 9030 GE Fanuc module
Modbus RTU - IC693CMM311 GE Fanuc module ( slave )
Modbus RTU - HE693RTM705 Horner APG ( master )
Above solution is necessary compare regarding CPU version and so on - see datasheets, module is fixed on GE Fanul carrier ( necessary to have spare slot on FIRST carrier )
3rd party solution:
RX3i
APP-ESR-GTW
above are "gateways" - possibility to connect "several" links and should be fully programmable.
