I'm trying to read discrete I/O from PLC5 using the following setup. Vim 1 (Generic Ethernet IP 4/6 driver) is connected to 1756-ENBT and 1756-DHRIO /DH+ to PLC5.
Is this even possible this route? I was able to setup datasets in VimNet explorer to read Binary, Integer and Float type data using "Logix" as Processor type, but there is no option for Input nor Output type. Only if I select "PLC5/XXe" as processor type, the Input and output becomes available. I'm thinking the processor type needs to be "Logix" ? As this is my first device?
Any comments, suggestions?
