The 25th World Gas Conference (WGC) was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 4th to 8th June 2012, hosted by PETRONAS. This year’s WGC marked the celebration of the silver jubilee of this important industry gathering. With its theme 'Gas: Sustaining Future Global Growth', the event aims to establish the pathway to a sustainable energy future.
Occupying the whole of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), the event saw the participation of major industry players like Petronas, Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, BP, Gazprom, CNPC, PTT just to name a few. Over 3,500 delegates from across the globe attended this event.
Remote Automation Solutions (RAS), together with several business units within the Flow group from Emerson Process Management Asia Pacific participated in this mega trade show. We showcased our FB103, S600+, ControlWave Micro and OpenEnterprise alongside those products from Daniel, MicroMotion and Natural Gas Technologies. We demonstrated to visitors our total capability in Flow Measurement and Remote Automation. RAS received a number of visitors from Petronas Carigali, PGB, Technip, Air Products and Becthel.
Since 1931, the International Gas Union (IGU) has been organising the World Gas Conference (WGC) once every three years. The 26th World Gas Conference will be held in Paris, France from 1st to 5th June 2015.
