In late November, 2014 I traveled to Dubai to teach the Control Loop Foundation class. This class is based on the book Control Loop Foundation – Batch and Continuous Processes and is a standard class offered by Emerson’s education department. In this class the students used the book’s web site to perform the workshops that are part of the class. Also, while in Dubai I taught for the first time a wireless control class based on the book Wireless Control Foundation – Continuous and Discrete Control for the Process Industry. The presentation material I used in the wireless control class is contained on the book’s web site. Also, in this class I used the book’s web site to show solutions to some of the workshops contained in the book. The Emerson office in Dubai offers a wide range of products and services for the Middle East. I created the following video of the Emerson facility since I could not fit the three buildings into a picture.

The first week I was in Dubai the students attending these classes were internal Emerson engineers that work in Dubai or other Emerson offices in the Middle East. A picture of the students that attended these classes is shown below.
Emerson customers located in the Middle East attended the classes that I taught the second week in Dubai. A picture of the students that attended these classes is shown below.
Two instructors in the Emerson education department in Dubai sat in on these classes to observe how I present the class material and workshops. In the future these instructors will teach the Control Loop Foundation classes that are scheduled for Dubai.
