One of my clients turned me on to this website that provides an interactive global view of marine traffic. From a logistics point of view this site provides some key information on ports and ships. Checkboxes provide the ability to view specific types of ships such as “tankers” making it easy to see in real time what tankers and other ships that might be docked at a specific terminal or in route.
The specifics of the ship can also be also be viewed by selecting the ship icon. If the vessel is underway the views track and speed can be viewed along with the vessels details and photos. Search function provides the ability to find a ship, port or world area.
