Abstract from the upcoming Emerson Exchange short course on PAT:
This short course will review how advanced analytical instruments including NIR and Raman spectroscopy along with multivariate modeling may be used to improve production quality. These technologies are used to measure critical quality attributes in real time to directly measure quality attributes rather than relying on laboratory samples.
This session will be a deep dive look into PAT. This will be joinly delivered by Emerson and Bruker Optics. The session will be divided into three sections. First, we will overview PAT fundamentals including its origin, objectives and general disscussion about analyzers and multivariate models.
The second part will be presented by Bruker Optics and will overview speciifc PAT applications in Chemical, Biotech, and Oral Solid Dose processes. The last section will focus on how analyzers, multivariate models and process control are integrated into a control solution.
