Session Abstract:
CCS has successfully implemented its patented Surge Prevention Control (“SPC”) algorithms using Emerson’s DeltaV process control platform. This presentation describes the case history & project implementation using DeltaV hardware & software including the challenges & how have they been resolved. The compressor performance map displays are available independent of the surge control system used. Even if the compressor is not protected it provides for reliable compressor operational information. This new & exciting approach cancels the need for dedicated third party 'black box' approaches.
