Five Years Experience Using 5300 GWR on Safety Water/Steam Level Measurement in Power Plant

Session Abstract:

Łagisza Power Station was one of the first major power plants to use Rosemount 5300 Guided Wave Radars (GWR) for water/steam level measurement in SIL2 safety loops. Today they have five years of experience of using GWRs on their 460 MW unit - the world's largest supercritical boiler with circulating fluidised bed. Their experiences have included improved safety, increased efficiency, more secure facility output & reduced risk of high operations & maintenance costs.
