Session Abstract
Grupa Lotos is the second largest refinery in Poland and the most modern because of the investment program finished in 2011. They successfully implemented the strategy to develop program of the control valves predictive diagnostic and then enlarge it for other important instruments. Refinery maintenance team resolve to identify and group a control valves for critical and normal control valves. All categories now have certain required specification towards positioners and valves. Grupa Lotos had to implement the on-line tool to help them monitor and predictively diagnose instruments for the all units. All units are controled by the 3rd party DCS systems TDC3000’s with no HART I/O’s and newer systems at the new units. During several years they tested AMS IDM and FDM native software supplied with DCS systems. After the trial period Grupa Lotos decided to build the predictive tools around AMS IDM and it’s Snap-On modules.
