Session Abstract
MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) encompasses the EU set of harmonised & standardised regulations around the transfer of ownership of liquids & gases & the method of paying taxes for it. MID was introduced in 2006 & the involved countries (27 EU countries + NO, CH & TR) have a transfer time of 10 years to convert to these international regulations. Norway already introduced MID regulations &, therefore, the LNG bunker installation in Stavanger must be in compliance. Cryonorm has decided to use the expertise from Emerson´s Micro Motion to create a standardised solution for LNG.
