Session Abstract
Implementation & maintenance of APC is still not a simple exercise. INA designed & analysed the effectiveness of their Hydrocracker Fractionator APC application using their medium-fidelity Operator Training Simulator (OTS). The OTS was developed, tuned & tested using real plant process history data. INA then used the same OTS platform for APC analysis, process pretesting & development of simple APC application for future Hydrocracker Fractionator APC application. This approach allows pre-development of APC using operator training simulator to enable shorter testing & analysis performed on the real plant.
