Session Abstract
This presentation discusses Novacarb’s experiences with wireless technology at its plant near Nancy, France. The company has installed a plant-wide Wi-Fi network to enable workers to operate the DeltaV automation system remotely across the large plant using mobile handheld devices. A WirelessHART network has also been deployed to obtain remote level measurements used in a PID control loop. Details of both applications and the benefits received are described.
