Session Abstract
A control loop audit at MOL’s Algyõ gas plant highlighted the opportunity for optimisation of the distillation column controls using advanced control trategies which can cope with feed and product quality specification changes. MOL selected the advanced control tools embedded in its DeltaV system. The mplemented solution includes a combination of advanced regulatory control, model predictive control and inferential analyses of product qualities. The project resulted in a €1.29 million saving in fuel usage, with associated reduction in CO2 emissions and improved onspecification production.
