Community forum improvement - main interface

Jim,

after finishing my tasks I have a while to propose changes for main interface. I think we need better user friendly solution. There is complicated to easily switch between main sections ( like INDUSTRIES, WIRELESS - main screen ) and subsections under INDUSTRIES. Try to switch quickly from Life Science to Wireless:-).

I think we can develop similar solution like on this website:

Click on i.e. products and there is automaticaly rolled down subsections. After clicking on different section products are rolled up and there is rolled down choosen section. Sorry for my web application description language:-). I think with this solution we reach one-click solution for switching between sections / subsections.

Regarding posting - from my point of view there is too big gap between paragraphs during using Enter key ( can be smaller? ).

  Second issue I see now can be with time between World regions - I see my post was sent at 12:10 pm, but my original time is 11:10 am. Maybe will be necessary to implement World region times with user profile. I cant see now how much this can complicate posting / sorting / searching in posts.

  Maybe ćan be also good idea to have all groups / subgroups on one tab ( for Industries there are 2 ), but there is enough space between subgrouops to do it ( common topic with easier switching / have better overview regarding groups / subgroups ).

  We can continue with first Topic - Industries subgroups. In the past I have counted and studied all groups and I have finished with number 14 ( my ideal separation ), but in subgroup section are shown 11 only.

  I think there are missing next subgroups: Industrial Energy ( Chip Rennie ), Olefins ( Peter Cox ) and Marine applications ( not sure who exactly ). Maybe can be good idea to make any investigation which situation is now and more important for the future ( if there is planning to base any new one ).

  Ok, next one - Asset Maintenance and optimization subgroup, there we can also follow my local HDD structure for documents:

  Field communicator, AMS Asset Performance Management, AMS Device Manager, AMS Equipment Performance Monitor, AMS FlowScanner, AMS Machinery Health Manager, AMS Performance Advisor, AMS Real-time Optimizer.

  Additionally AMS Machinery Health Manager subgroups On-line solution, Off-line solution and Accessories ( because of EPRO acquisition and their portfolio - sensors ).

  Yes, my time zone is correct. It seems there can bee different issue:-).

  Regarding this "replay" I have next comment. In case of replay to post there is always new reply associated with "main" thread instead of post directly. I have tried to insert screenshot, but it seems it doesnt work. maybe this side of solution can be a little bit enhanced...
