Emerson Exchange Americas Abstract Notifications

I confirmed that the emails have gone out to everyone on whether your Emerson Exchange Anaheim abstract has been accepted or not. If it (they) was (were), congratulations. If yours was not accepted, the Emerson Exchange Board wishes you success in future years.

Here's the text on next steps from the email:


At this time, we would like to inform you of the tasks and milestones associated with your conference session. Instructions, websites, and required codes to accomplish each of these tasks will be issued to you shortly via separate email:

  1. Presenter Biography - A 50-75 word biography of each presenter is required for introducing your session. Your biography will be due May 25th, and instructions for submitting biographies online will be issued to all presenters by May 1. 
  2. PowerPoint Presentation - A PowerPoint presentation of your Workshop or Short Course is due Monday, July 2nd (by 11:59pm, Central Daylight Time-USA). NOTE: All corporate and legal approvals of presentation content should be completed before submitting Powerpoint presentations. A PowerPoint presentation template will be made available online to all presenters by May 1, and all presentations must use this template. Presentations must be submitted online, and submittal instructions will be issued to presenters by May 1. 
  3. Hotel Room Reservations - Each presenter and co-presenter should make their hotel reservations directly with the Hilton Anaheim by Monday, July 2nd. You can make your reservations online or call the hotel directly using the information below. When making your reservations, be sure to use the Group Code in order to receive our discounted Emerson Exchange conference rates. Our conference rates will be the lowest available rates during the week of October 8 - October 12.

  4. Conference Registration - As previously communicated in the "Call for Presentations", a waiver of conference registration fees will be granted for one presenter for each accepted Workshop and two presenters for each accepted Short Course, provided that PowerPoint presentations are received by the July 2nd due date and approved by the track mentor. Conference registration will also be conducted online, and instructions will be issued to eligible presenters in late July after receipt of their completed PowerPoint presentation.
