The Emerson Global Users Exchange Americas is soliciting candidates to serve on both the Board of Directors and the Advisory Board.
The Directors serve an important role in planning and guiding the direction of the Emerson Exchange. The board consists of eighteen (18) members, eleven (11) of which are end-users representing a variety of process industries. The board is looking for candidates that meet the following criteria:
-Past attendee of the Emerson Exchange -Current user of Emerson automation products and services
-Ability to serve a term of four (4) years by mutual agreement between the Director and the Executive Committee.

Participation on the Emerson Global Users Exchange Board provides important opportunities for both you and your company. Each Member has the opportunity to develop and extend their management skills by participating in one of the largest and most successful conferences run by end-users.
- Education - Specific assignments while on the Board will allow you to network with other leaders in the process industry and gain valuable knowledge that can be used for problem-solving in your organization.
- Networking - Members have the opportunity to interface directly with key members of the Emerson Process Management Leadership team as well as technology leaders from all Emerson Process Business Units. These contacts provide a unique avenue for submitting ideas and opinions on process control needs in your industry.
- Savings - Active Members will have their registration fee for the Global Users Exchange conference waived.
Member Responsibilities
All Board Members should be willing to serve the duration of their term (four years) and have their respective management's sponsorship and commitment. Members are expected to:
- Attend each board meeting and serve as representatives of their industry. There are three to four ‘face-to-face’ board meetings per year lasting one and a half days each at various Emerson and conference site locations. Travel costs are the responsibility of the individual members.
- Additional meetings are conducted via teleconference.
- Members serve on one or more committees involved in planning the Emerson Exchange conference. Additional time may be required to fulfill committee related obligations.
- Candidates must submit a letter of commitment from their immediate manager to the chairman of the Recruiting Committee.
