Business Card Exchange Mobile Apps

 

In preparation for Emerson Exchange next week, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for convenient and secure electronic business card exchange mobile applications. 

I'm still handing out and receiving paper business cards, but I suspect there are much better ways, given the unbelievable amount of computing power we carry around with us in our pockets every day.

  Youssef, Great thought! I saw this Mashable post, Is It Time to Finally Ditch Your Paper Business Cards? and downloaded the app, Cardcloud to test it out. It did pull down my details when I logged in with LinkedIn. Here's their quick video of their service:

  I received the ecard (vcf file) which my phone was able to import to contacts. I downloaded the app too.  Entering email address is ok, but the location - based browsing for nearby card cloud users can really speed up the exchange. I'm surprised they haven't worked in QR code generation and recognition as well. Thanks for the response.

  Bump is another good app worth trying. Search on Bump Technologies from your smart phone. I've got it installed so come on by the Emerson Exchange 365 are (front left as you come into the Exhibition hall.)
