Session Schedule and Presenter Guidelines

I wanted to pass along an Emerson Exchange email that I just received with helpful tips about the upcoming conference in Anaheim for presenters and attendees.


Thank you for participating in the upcoming 2012 Emerson Exchange Americas conference. To assist you with planning your attendance, please download the Session Schedule Excel file and take note of the schedule and location of the session(s) you will be presenting.

As a reminder, presenters must supply their own laptop for Workshops, Short Courses, Roadmaps, Industry Forums, Technology Forums and Meet the Experts (these are not provided in the rooms). If more than one presentation is being used, please have all presentations loaded on one laptop to prevent switching midway through a session. The Emerson Global Users Exchange and the hotel are not responsible for the security of personal items or equipment during the conference, so please secure your valuables and equipment at all times.

Mezzanine Office A and C, located on the Hilton Anaheim Mezzanine Level (3rd floor) at the conference will serve as our Speaker Ready Rooms and are available Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm to assist with equipment testing and preparation. We encourage all presenters to make use of the room the day before their presentation. (NOTE: No A/V equipment is provided in Speaker Ready Rooms.

A Facilitator will be assigned to each session room and will introduce the session and presenters with the provided biographies. If you did not previously submit or upload a biography, please bring a copy with you.

Presenters must ensure that their laptops are ready for use and properly connected to the projector at least ten (10) minutes prior to the starting time for their session. Please note the following:

  • adhere to the Start and End times of your sessions.
  • check the displayed screen resolution after connecting your laptop computer. If your screen resolution is set at less than 1024 x 768, a smaller image will appear on the projection screen.
  • the room sound system will not broadcast laptop audio (bring speakers as needed)
  • Audio/Video technical assistance can be requested from your session room Facilitator.
  • facilitators will have one laser pointer for speakers' use
  • internet service is not supplied to session rooms
