Update: The 2012 Call for Presentations Abstract Submittal Page is Now Live.
I wanted to give you a sneak peek of an email which will be going out later this week inviting a call for presentations to the 2012 Emerson Global Users Exchange Americas, October 8-12 in Anaheim, California.
You have until March 19th to get these submitted.
Here's the text from the email:
"Connect In" is the theme of the 2012 Emerson Global Users Exchange Americas to be held October 8-12th, 2012 at the Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, California. The ability for participants to connect with other automation professionals through the varied and informative presentations continues to be driving force behind attendance at the Emerson Global Users Exchange. With this Call for Presentations, we invite you to share your ideas and results with your fellow colleagues.
The 2011 conference provided attendees with over 350 Workshops and Short Courses, 10 CEU Certified Educational Courses, Industry Forums, Technology Forums and Meet the Experts sessions. The 2012 conference will continue to give ideas and results to users allowing them to get the most out of their Emerson solutions.
We invite you to share your best practices, implementation successes, tips & tricks and proven project solutions by presenting at this year's conference.
Track topics for the 2012 conference are listed below, along with example presentation subjects. A list of abstract acceptance tips is provided on the website to help guide prospective presenters with development of your abstracts.
Presentation abstracts are due by Monday, March 19th, 2012. Abstract approval by the Emerson Global Users Exchange organization will begin the week of April 19th, 2012. A waiver of registration fees will be granted for the listed "presenter" for each accepted Workshop. Two fee waivers will be granted for the listed "presenters" for each accepted Short Course. The fee waiver(s) is contingent upon final acceptance of the PowerPoint presentation by July 2nd, 2012 and approval by the track mentor. The most outstanding presentation in each track will be awarded "Best in Conference", with a formal presentation of the award at the conference.
This year the Emerson Global Users Exchange Americas has added a track for "PlantWeb Implementation". This track is for facilities that have implemented Emerson's PlantWeb digital architecture in some unique or interesting application. The most outstanding implementation example presentation in this track will be awarded the PlantWeb Excellence Award. The PlantWeb Excellence Award winner will be announced at the conference during the formal awards presentation. For more information see the 2012 conference presentation tracks below.
