Emerson customer is requesting for a prompt that will alert operator saying that the firmware of newly inserted DeltaV card does not match the current system. Client is also suggesting that Hardware coming out of Emerson's manufacturing plant should indicate the firmware on the box so that there's no need for them to plug it into DeltaV system just to find out its SW revision.
