Save re-wiring your legacy termination / marshalling panels using FlexConnect™ Solutions to migrate your legacy DCS to the DeltaV™ DCS

FlexConnect wiring solutions provide connectivity between one systems’ field device wires and the DeltaV I/O card terminal blocks through cables, replacement termination / marshalling panels, and/or interface panels to the existing termination panels. FlexConnect Solutions can save you a considerable amount of time and can reduce the design effort when migrating legacy systems to the DeltaV DCS; field wires are left untouched on the legacy termination / marshalling panels.

Since my last post on FlexConnect Solutions, we’ve released wiring solutions for the following DCS platforms; PROVOX10-Series MUX I/O, PROVOX 10-Series Control I/O, RS3 FIC & FIM I/O, ABB® Contronic-P and Rockwell Automation, Allen-Bradley®, PLC-5® / 1771 Remote I/O.

Also, we’ll have a few prototypes on-hand at Emerson Exchange of the replacement Field Termination Assemblies (FTA’s) for Honeywell® TDC 3000 and cabling solutions for the ABB® Symphony Bailey INFI 90 system.

In addition to the DCS platforms noted above, we have wiring solutions available for the following legacy DCS’; ABB® Symphony DCI System 6® (formerly Fischer and Porter), Schneider – Foxboro® I/A Series 100 & 200 I/O, Honeywell® TDC 2000, and Honeywell IPC 620.

Find more information on modernizing your legacy DCS’ on the Emerson Automation Solutions Modernization website, and come talk to us during the America’s Emerson Exchange 2017 event in Minneapolis, MN (October 2nd  - 6th) – you’ll find the Modernization Team in the Services and Consulting – Project Services area in the technology exhibit hall on Monday through Wednesday nights!  Also, we’ll have experts on-hand in the following areas to assist you with your other modernization needs; early engagement, project justification, I/O wiring options, and subject matter experts in the following legacy DCS’; PROVOX, RS3, ABB, Honeywell, various PLC’s, NovaTech D/3, Siemens-Moore APACS, Yokogawa, and Schneider – Foxboro I/A Series.

Refer to my previous post on recommended workshops and short course outline concentrating on modernization and migrations for this year’s Emerson Exchange. This can be used as a guideline for selecting the sessions you want to attend. Looking forward to seeing you this year in Minneapolis!
