Invalid characters in FF placeholder

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with DeltaV 12.3. I was configuring IO network for a client, based on a supplied IO list. I am using my own tool to translate client IO list into a bulk edit import files. After generating an import file for Foundation Fieldbus devices, all except 4 placeholders imported properly. In all 4 devices which generated errors, there were some spaces in the device names (like PT  -262171) which I haven't spotted in the IO list. The devices generated an error message, but for some reason got imported into a system.

Problem: there are 4 devices called 'PT  -262xxx' in the system, but not in the controller where they belong to. I can't see them in Explorer, only "Search" option finds them (there is a AI block with a defined name in each and Search finds this block). When I click "Select..." on the search window, it sends to be top level of Control Network. i would like to delete all 4 modules and create them properly.

How can I solve it? Automatated DB clean did not help. Any sugegstions?

Thank you in advance,

Marek

I managed to solve the problem by editing the FHX file from the full DB export. I managed to find the modules in the export, but all were not assigned to any card/port. I extracted the problematic devices into a small, separate file, updated the file to assign the modules to a port of the existing controller/card and imported - all devices showed up in the port! There was no problem in deleteing them from this port.
