I have a customer with an old DEC Alpha machine and ENVOX who is having reliability issues with the Alpha. He'd like to migrate to a virtual version and I've seen that there are things available from HP to do that but he hasn't had any luck with using what he's found so far. One issue is his system had a "drive stack" (a term I'm not familiar with) that the virtual machine is looking for when trying to boot it up and so it fails.
Is there a robust commercially available migration path to do this? Have any of you done this?
