Help with DeltaV configuration and commissioning

Hello,

While commissioning the controller i do have an error saying SD plus 11.3 does not match the configured controller model SD plus 11.3 or DeltaV system 12.3,  you must upgrade the controller hardware to the current system revision before proceeding with the download.

if selected to proceed with the commissioning it takes a way long time some times and some time it gets failed saying auto sense failed you may need to download your workstation.

should i upgrade the controller ? or even though i continue how would i get it running.

any help is appreciated.

  Hi Rahul,

  What is the version of your DeltaV system?  Your error message indicates one of a few things:

  1. The software revision of the controller you are attempting to commission is not the same as the DeltaV system you are using.
  2. The model of controller you are trying to commission is not the same as what is configured in DeltaV.

  Please verify these two items.  In the case of this mis-aligned software revisions, you must commission the controller and then use the controller upgrade utility to flash it to the correct software revision.
