We’re working on integrating a Siemens DP/PA Link (consisting of IM153-2 and IM157 modules) into a DeltaV Profibus-DP I/O network. The goal is to add a Profibus-PA device — specifically, an OPTEK UV control box — to monitor UV data and status through this link.

The main challenge we’re facing is address configuration across the Profibus chain, including:

• The DP slave (IM153-2),

• The DP/PA coupler (IM157), and

• The OPTEK UV control box (which has a default address of 126).

According to OPTEK’s manual, the UV control box requires a Profibus configuration tool to issue the SET_SLAVE_ADDRESS command from a Class 2 master (which, I assume, would be the DeltaV Profibus-DP master card).

However, I have not found a way to execute this command within DeltaV.

Has anyone successfully configured Siemens DP/PA Link devices with DeltaV or changed a Profibus-PA device address (like the OPTEK UV box) in a similar setup? Any guidance, configuration steps, or tools required would be greatly appreciated.
